At Alliance Academy, elite training is the key to unlocking a student athletes full potential. We strive to create a high energy environment that is inclusive, collaborative, and supportive. We recognize that every individual has unique needs and strengths, and we aim to help our students/athletes discover and develop their full potential. 


About Alliance Academy Staff

Jessica Diaz

Jessica Diaz -onsite credentialed teacher

 Jess Diaz brings a strong background in student athlete development and academic support at both the high school and collegiate levels. Before completing her teaching credential in Social Science, Jess worked with student-athletes at UCLA, Baylor University, and Texas A&M Commerce, where she designed and facilitated programs focused on leadership development, academic success, personal growth, and community engagement. In these roles, she collaborated closely with campus partners, organized large-scale events, and mentored

student-athletes through their transitions into higher education, competition, and life beyond athletics. A former water polo student-athlete at Long Beach City College and Long Beach State, Jess earned her undergraduate degree in History and later her master’s degree in educational 

counseling. Once her own playing career ended, she returned to the pool deck as a coach at Esperanza and Yorba Linda High School, where she has guided water polo and swim teams to competitive success, including conference and CIF championships. Whether in the classroom or

on the pool deck, Jess is passionate about fostering resilience, growth, and confidence in the students and athletes she works with.

Chris Samayoa -sports / athletic coach / para teacher

 

Coach Chris played High School baseball at Western High School in Anaheim, Ca. In 2002. After graduation, he continued his academic and athletic career at Cypress College, where he decided to leave school and baseball to enlist in the United States Marine Corps where he served from 2004-2012 with one combat deployment to Iraq in 2007/2008.  Upon returning home from the USMC, he began his coaching career working at his Alma Mater Western High School and served as the Assistant Varsity Coach and Hitting Coach under Lonnie Smith till 2017 where he moved to Los Alamitos High School and coached for the Griffins under Coach Matt Nuez and Tony Fusco where he held positions as JV Head Coach, Varsity Hitting and Outfield Coach, and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. After his time at Los Alamitos, Coach Chris joined the staff at St. John Bosco High School in 2024 under Coach Andy Rojo and currently sits as the JV Head Coach.  Coach Chris also works with athletes in their athletic pursuits as a mentor and strength coach, helping youth athletes learn the how to deal with adversity and understanding the level of dedication and balance to compete not only in sports but how to prepare for their lives beyond sports. Outside of just baseball, Coach Chris has mentored and guided players into their pursuits of acceptance into USMC Officer programs through ROTC scholarships, Air Force Academy, US Naval Academy, US Army Rangers, US Marine Corps and candidates for the LAFD.  Coach Chris lives in Artesia with his Wife Georgia, and has 3 children, Zechariah, Ezekiel, and Kenzie. 

 

tommy blood - sports / athletic coach / para teacher

Coach Tommy attended Kennedy High School where he accomplished 1st team all-league honors. He played at Santa Ana College and transferred to Avila University where he led his team in hits in his junior campaign. Coach currently runs the Rotties travel ball organization located out of Orange County, where he mentors aspiring baseball players to develop both their mental and physical skills.  Coach Tommy oversees our student athlete's development.
